Pennsylvania Sedge is a na t ive shade-loving semi-evergreen grass with wispy grass-like foliage that is glossy deep green. Small feathery white staminate spikelets with dark purple scales go up in early spring. Prefers partial sun and well-drained soils. Drought tolerant.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance. It can be planted in near full sun if the soil is consistently moist but will have less color. Cut foliage to the ground and remove it in late winter.
