Edward Goucher Abelia is a compact semi-evergreenshrub with lightly arching branches and glossy dark green leaves that turn purple-bronze in fall. Profuse clusters of small fragrant pink flowers with orange throats bloom from midsummer into fall attracting bees and butterflies. Flowers best infull sunand rich, moist, well-drained soils. Very drought tolerant once established.
MAINTENANCE NEEDS:Low Maintenance. Regular water, fertilize yearly. Dieback may occur if temperatures drop below 10 degrees. Prune as needed in winter or spring.
