Leatherleaf Sedge is a fine upright evergreen grass with stiff copper-bronze to cinnamon foliage that arch slightly at the tips.  Sparse insignificant silver green flowers bloom in spring.  Prefers full sun and moist well-drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance.  It can be planted in near full sun if the soil is consistently moist but will have less color.  Cut foliage to the ground and remove it in late winter.  Mealybugs and aphids can be a problem in dense clumps, especially in hot summers.
