Cherokee Sedge is a native compact evergreen  ornamental grass that grows in slow-spreading clumps with upright deep green grass-like foliage.  In late spring its scaly white flowers transitions into wheat seed-like clusters.  Prefers  partial sun and moist, well-drained soil but is drought tolerant once established.  Can be used as turf replacement.
