Blue Oat Grass is a cool season evergreen  grass with very narrow and spiky steel-blue foliage creating a porcupine like clump.  Spikelets of one-sided panicles open to blueish-brown flowers in summer and mature to golden wheat by fall.  Prefers  full sun and dry to medium well-drained soils.  Has good rust resistance.
